GGC Inclusion and Diversity Advisory Council

At the Greenwood Genetic Center, we are committed to creating an inclusive workplace composed of individuals from all walks of life who share our passion for providing the highest quality care.

The Inclusion and Diversity Advisory Council of the Greenwood Genetic Center was formed in 2020 by the Director of GGC. The Council is composed of GGC employees representing all divisions of the Center as well as two external community members. The IDAC meets regularly to address the needs and initiatives of the organization in alignment with the mission statement and goals of the IDAC.

Mission statement

The GGC Inclusion and Diversity Advisory Council serves as a resource for the employees, patients, and students of GGC by supporting the organization’s mission and culture through the lens of equity.

Goals

  • Advise organizational leadership on topics and best practices that support, retain, and further a diverse and culturally competent workforce across all divisions of the GGC.
  • Educate and share resources that identify actionable evidence-based strategies relevant to inclusion and diversity center-wide.

Reggie has been part of the GGC family for over 18 years. He has short stature, webbing of his hands, pulmonary stenosis, seizures and hydrocephalus along with developmental delay.
