LaToya currently works in our Charleston office of Greenwood Genetic Center in the metabolic division. Since 2014, LaToya has been a clinic coordinator where she helps to coordinate clinics in Charleston, Columbia, and Florence. She also performs front desk reception duties, obtains insurance authorizations for office visits and patient medication, performs medical records maintenance, data entry, clerical assignments, and assists with the transcribing of documents for the metabolic geneticist, dietitian, and psychologist as a part of the metabolic team.

LaToya loves children and the interactions and relationships that she has built with the patients of the Greenwood Genetic Center.

A Rare Beauty

The lobby of the JC Self Research Institute at GGC was transformed into a garden – of sorts. The art exhibit titled ‘Rare Roses’ consisted of 12 paintings that depict real roses with genetic variations. The series was created by Nicole Shannon, an artist from Greenville.
