For Patients

At Greenwood Genetic Center we believe the more information we can provide our patients, the better decisions they can make for themselves and their loved ones.

Clinical Services – Through multiple clinics the Greenwood Genetic Center offers a wide range of clinical services. With a referral from your pediatrician, primary care physician or other healthcare provider, GGC can provide genetic evaluations and if necessary, diagnostic genetic testing.

During the consultation, a GGC healthcare professional will review your medical and family history, conduct a physical examination, if necessary, and provide information and counseling regarding genetic testing, inheritance patterns, and other topics related to the condition.

Diagnostic Genetic Testing – The Greenwood Genetic Center provides diagnostic testing across all stages of life. Testing may identify changes in chromosomes, genes, or proteins to come to a clear diagnosis and help guide future management and family planning.

Research – Research programs at the Greenwood Genetic Center focus on identifying genes responsible for a variety of conditions, as well as understanding the underlying mechanisms of the conditions and developing diagnostic tests and treatments. Our research teams have expertise in many areas of genetics including intellectual disability, birth defects and autism.
