GGC's Junior Genetics Scholars Camp for rising 9th-12th grade students will be held July 12-15, 2021 on the Greenwood campus of the Greenwood Genetic Center. COVID protocols will be followed.

The Greenwood Genetic Center’s Junior Genetics Scholars Camp provides a unique opportunity for high school students to gain first-hand exposure to the field of genetics straight from the experts. The week includes learning about the latest technologies, engaging in hands-on lab activities, touring GGC labs (if possible), and exploring careers in the field of genetics.

Makayla was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome in April of 2015 at the age of two. At about 18 months, we noticed she had started some repetitive hand motions, and her pediatrician was a little concerned that she did not have many words.
