The GGC is fortunate to benefit from the vast knowledge and experience of an accomplished board of directors. The twelve-member voting body includes six members appointed by the Greenwood Genetic Center and six members appointed by Mainsail, a subsidiary of the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). This group brings their various areas of expertise to bear on the governing of the Center.

The Greenwood Genetic Center Holdings Board is responsible for appointing the six GGC members to the Board of Directors and exercising other defined powers under the GGC/MUSC Membership Agreement. The eleven-member Holdings Board is composed of the six GGC appointees of the Board of Directors along with five additional members.
