Continuing Education

Educational Opportunities for Providers

The GGC team realizes the importance of providing educational opportunities for providers. We offer various professional development opportunities for healthcare providers to ensure access to the latest up-to-date genomic information – improving the delivery of genetic services for all.

This unique initiative aims to provide ongoing, interactive education for non-genetic healthcare providers, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to integrate genetics into their medical practice.

The Greenwood Genetic Center’s Project ECHO includes a series of free continuing medical education (CME) credits for healthcare providers. These bimonthly sessions will feature GGC experts covering a variety of topics in medical genetics. The format includes multimedia presentations, case examples, and discussions, encouraging providers to actively participate and share their own cases.

GGC hosts the Conclave every year for genetic counselors, MD and PhD geneticists, primary care physicians, medical residents, genetics laboratory technologists, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, and other interested medical professionals. There is no cost or registration required for this event. CEUs and CMEs are offered.
