Teacher Opportunities

While our outreach educational student programs provide a wonderful glimpse into the field of genetics, we are only able to be with the students for a day. Teachers have such a great influence on student achievement and career exploration, and we want to support teachers all year long, not only on the day of a classroom visit or field trip.

The Greenwood Genetic Center offers many programs to enhance teacher education. During the summer, we provide exposure to the latest technologies with hands-on workshops. Our professional development workshops are designed to assist teachers in providing innovative lab activities for students. Our speakers bureau offers in class presentations tailored to the needs of your students.

For details on our upcoming summer 2023 teacher workshop visit ggc.org/workshop.

Contact Leta M. Tribble, PhD at (864) 943-4170 or [email protected] for additional information on any of these offerings, and stay-up-to-date on our activities with our current newsletter.
